AN IMPACT

Educate the World, Inc is the main branch of a full-service, safe learning space that has been developed to serve scholars, parents, teachers, community partners, and women, specifically. Grounded in the "Lift As We Climb" mindset, our overall mission is to elevate and empower youth and those that care for them. Our focus on youth development is to prepare young people to be the change-makers of tomorrow.

Our young people participate in activities geared towards developing their identity and place in the world while acting as agents of change within their own communities and beyond. Parents, teachers, and community partners are also supported here through workshops, symposiums, and various other ways in which they can best serve children. When we are prepared, we can prepare our children for greatness.

LaShaune M. Stitt, EdD, is a former middle and high school literacy teacher who has worked in urban school districts throughout New York and Richmond, VA. She arrived in Baltimore as a school administrator working in an alternative school and Pre K-8 settings. With almost 25 years of experience working with young people and adult learners from Pre-K through higher education, Dr. Stitt has served in various capacities throughout her career from classroom educator to administrator, building culturally responsive curriculum in diverse settings along the way. She is very familiar with the system of education and how it can consume many students, particularly those who are traditionally marginalized and in urban settings.

One of her most treasured accomplishments was serving as a proposal writer and presenter for an all-male high school in the Bronx, NY, and she continues to willfully dedicate herself to community-based issues. Currently, Dr. Stitt serves as a Director of Equity and Access Programs, Clinical Supervisor to aspiring teachers, an English professor, Curriculum Writer, and Consulting Coach to aspiring school founders.

She continues to be a voice in the community by serving in various voluntary positions on committees throughout the Baltimore County Public School System. In her spare time, she loves catching up on Law & Order S.V.U. episodes, making sweet potato pies for her family, and figuring out various ways to make the world a better place for women and children of color.
