Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. LaShaune Stitt.

(VB) Hi Dr. Stitt, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?

(LS) I started as a single mother raising a son in New York City, then decided to go into teaching because my mother was a teacher, I could influence many young people in my Harlem neighborhood, and I would be able to spend more quality time with my son. I worked my way up to leadership positions then eventually left the NYC school system when I got married and had two additional children. We relocated to Richmond, VA where I eventually completed my first Master’s and began to pursue my dreams of becoming an entrepreneur.
